Sadly only for a short time. So to solve the problem: disconnect unit and wait a few seconds and reconnect it. To get the problem back: just leave the turn signal alone for about 10 seconds and it is back. Finally we tried a swap of the left and right unit and found out that the problem moved to the other side.

I changed out the rear turn signals with some canbus correct they have a chip built into the base, they stopped the hyper flash on the rest of the turn signals. the cost on Amazon was about $7 and change, much cheaper than any of the good resisters and no over heating.
