Imo for solo play, LBG is the "easiest" of the 3. Faster movement than HBG and Bow has to be relatively stationary. So it lets you just focus on dodging while shooting whenever you can. Bow and HBG get a lot more out of multiplayer since you can basically sit still and power shot or wyvernheart as much as you want.I also need to carry other ammo now like Pierce and spread. I'm of the opinion that Wyvern Counter is the best thing in the entire kit of any LBG build. The damage uptime you get while using it (and it allowing you near 100% MM uptime) is just exceptional. Fanning maneuver is neat but imo harder to use efficiently/less reliable than Wyvern Counter, and isn't as good even if used perfectly

Pierce 1, 2 & 3 - multiple hits on all parts it passes through. Always have some with you. Make great damage by aiming head→tail, tail→head or wing→wing. Pierce 1 is good for small monsters and sniping parts (heads for example). Use on anything smaller than a Rath. Pierce 2 is good for medium and big monsters.

Using hailstorm and building for pierce is an odd choice. If you want to go pierce then stick to the malzeno/shagaru/narga lines for rapid fire pierce 2.
