To keep it economical some coatings are not as durable as those if more expensive guns. I had a Walther PPS M2 with a Tenerite coating. It seemed indestructible.This would be nearly impossible with a file or sandpaper. A "facing cutter" is the right tool for the job. .004" B/C gap should be just fine. The bind in the cylinder is more frequently from using too much oil on the ejector, ejector rod, and cylinder yoke tube. The oil draws powder residue and will bind up the cylinder.
